ALEKSANDER SAPIC

Serbian Aleksander Sapic didnt feature in his
teams 3rd / 4th place play off victory at the
Olympics due to a broken leg. The Official line
put out by the Serbian Olympic Commitee was that
Sapic fell down the stairs at the pondside after
slipping. Unfortunatly for the Serbian team, one
of the squad members has spilled the beans on
exactly what did happen to Sapic. "Sapic stayed
with team mates a bit longer in locker room after
our semi final loss. He said he should be
listened as he was the most experienced player.
And after that he said: Is there anyone stronger
than me?!" "Denis Sefik thought that a punch in
ther face would be the best cure for Sapic. And
he hit him....
Sapic fell down the the stairs and broke his
leg".

HUNGARY RETAIN OLYMPIC CROWN

In a thrilling Mens Water Polo Olympic Final in
Beijing, Hungary overcame a strong USA team in a
goalfest. The first period saw both teams trade
goals after almost each attack with some
excellent outside shooting. Hungary won the
first 6-4. Both teams were
playing some excellent polo in the 2nd period
also. Hungary started to turn the screw after
the break as the US couldnt find the form of the
first 2 periods. The 4th and final period was
won by the Hungarian team and they went on to win
the match 14 - 10 and retain their Olympic Crown
they won in Athens 4 years ago. This was the
USAs first Olympic Final in 20 years.
Interestingly, the entire US team play their polo
within the USA. Final Score, Hungary 14 - 10 USA
(6-4, 3-4, 2-1, 3-1).

MONTENEGRO SELF DESTRUCT

Despite a good tournament so far, the
Montenegrans had a terrible game against Serbia
to lose the Bronze medal match in Beijing this
morning. The Sebs won the game 6 - 4 although
with some smarter passing and good finishing, the
result could have been so different. The
scoreline suggests a closer match but Serbia took
their foot off the pedal after the 3rd period and
cruised through the 4th knowing the medal was
theirs. The British commentator was (as usual)
terrible and kept referring to Montenegro as
Macedonia. On top of this, he made up a
new "offside" rule "much like football" where
you "cannot pass the ball forward infront of the
opposition player!!!!!!!". Best to watch these
games with the volume turned down. Stevie Wonder
could have done a better job. The final between
Hungary and USA should be on the BBC "Red Button"
service later this morning.

Team USA shocked Serbia with an amazing victory in
China today. The scores were tied after the first
period but then the US went on to win the 2nd and
3rd periods by a single goal. A superb 4th period
was won by the USA 3-0 giving them a 10-5 win.
USA will face Hungary in what promises to be a
great game on Sunday.

HUNGARY REACH FINAL

European Champions Montenegro were defeated 11-9
today by Hungary in a thrilling game. Montenegro
led for most of the match but the Hungarians never
gave up and eventually took the lead in the 4th
quarter. Some great goals from the post position
by the Hungarian team took them into the final.
The Montenegrans ran out of ideas despite starting
the game in great form.
